Tax Exemption Policy

Schools, government agencies, non-profit organizations, and other tax-exempt eligible organizations can apply for, and receive, sales tax exemption status through their state government. Customers who are purchasing for a tax exempt organization may provide state tax exempt information for review and approval to purchase sales tax exempt.

My organization is tax exempt. How do I have sales tax removed from my order?

To apply your tax exemption, please submit your state-issued sales tax exemption certificate via email or live chat. Our team will review your documentation and notify you once your exemption has been approved. Your invoice will then be reissued with sales tax removed.

Where can I find my exemption certificate, or how do I obtain one?

State-approved tax-exempt organizations are issued a certificate of exemption directly from their state. Your finance or accounting team will typically have a copy on file, or one can be requested through your state's tax authority. Please note that orders without valid supporting documentation will be subject to standard sales tax.

How long does the approval process take?

Most exemptions are reviewed and approved within a few hours. In some cases, please allow up to 1–2 business days for processing.
